Pete Wentz, né Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz III le 5 juin 1979 à Wilmette [/c](Illinois),une banlieue de Chicago est le bassiste du groupe emo américain Fall Out Boy.
Pete a grandi à Chicago sur la scène punk hardcore et a fait partie de nombreux
groupes avant les Fall Out Boy: Firstborn, Arma Angelus,7 Angels of the Apocalypse/Culture of Violence, Extinction et Yellow Road Priest.
Il fréquenta la North Shore Country Day School l'école secondaire (le lycée) où il devient joueur de football américain hors-pair. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme en 1997, il étudia les Sciences Politiques à la DePaul University qu'il quitta après six mois d'études pour se consacrer à la musique.
